Travel and Hotel fees
London and Essex Genealogy's main catchment area for research is London, Essex, Middlesex and the London Boroughs that have County addresses such as Wandsworth and Lambeth etc. in Surrey but I will research in any English County. All family history research that is further afield, i.e. the Home Counties will incur travel expenses and to other parts of the UK both travel and hotel expenses; however this does not include sustenance.
The following is a table of travel/service fees for the Home Counties (excluding London, Essex and Middlesex); it denotes all fees for the complete cost of one day's research in those counties, i.e travel cost + entrance fees + research fee excluding photocopies and scans. If the County you are interested in is not included here, then research in that County will incur both hotel and travel fees, please enquire by using the On-Line request form.

Entrance
Fees
Some
Record Offices charge an Entrance Fee which is usually
about £3.00 and is classed as an extra expense. I
do not charge for visiting The Society of Genealogists.
Film
Ordering
If the family history research
required entails trips to Counties further afield (i.e. those not listed above),
London and Essex Genealogy will attempt to avoid costs such as hotel fees by
ordering records locally; however each film costs £2.70.
